Personalised nutrition coaching. Evidence-based. Built for real life.

Most nutrition plans don’t fail because you lack willpower. They fail because they weren’t built for your life in the first place.

Microhub is an online nutrition coaching practice serving individuals, couples, and families across Australia. We build plans that work with your household, your physiology, and your reality.

You are doing everything right, but it is not working

You're eating reasonably well, staying consistent, and still not seeing the results you expect. There's a physiological reason for that. Microhub identifies it and builds a plan around what's actually happening in your body.

You train consistently, but your nutrition is not keeping up

You're putting in the work. Your results have stalled and your energy isn't where it needs to be. When nutrition isn't calibrated to your training load, that gap compounds over time. We build around your actual output, not a standard template.

Microhub builds plans around real households.

Getting nutritious meals on the table for multiple people, week after week, is harder than any generic advice accounts for. We build plans around real households, including regional and rural families where what's available at the local shop matters.

You have tried programs before. You need something that holds.

Some things worked briefly. None of them held. That's not a willpower problem. When a nutrition plan doesn't account for your schedule, your household, or how you actually eat day to day, it was never going to stick. A plan that lasts is one built around your real life, not one you have to fit your life around.

How the Calculator Works

🎯 Microhub Macro Targets (Clinical-Style)

This gives a starting range, then shows you how to calibrate based on real-world data. It’s more scientific than pretending one number is “perfect”.

Pregnant / postpartum / breastfeeding
Aggressive deficits are not appropriate. This will lock out “aggressive deficit”.
History of disordered eating / very low intake / amenorrhoea
Locks out “aggressive deficit” and keeps targets conservative.
High stress / poor sleep / injury / burnout right now
We keep targets conservative to protect recovery and adherence.
Dieting for >8 of the last 12 weeks
This often reduces output (NEAT/adaptation). We’ll recommend starting at the higher end of the range.
Lower carb Balanced Higher carb
Calories stay the same — this just redistributes remaining energy between carbs and fats while respecting minimum fat and performance guardrails.
Advanced: I know my body fat % (optional)
If BF% is reliable, we can estimate BMR using lean mass. If unsure, keep this OFF.
Check inputs
Please enter realistic age, height, and weight values.

This calculator estimates your daily energy needs using Mifflin–St Jeor (BMR). If you enter a reliable body fat %, it can optionally estimate BMR using lean mass instead.
Your estimated maintenance calories are calculated by multiplying BMR by your selected activity level (PAL).

Instead of giving one “perfect” number, it provides a calorie range to reflect real-world variation, then recommends a starting point inside that range based on your current context (e.g., stress/sleep/dieting history).

Macro Targets (How they’re set)

WHY ACCURACY MATTERS

Most calculators can be meaningfully off for individuals due to differences in daily movement (NEAT), dieting history, sleep/stress, cycle status, medications, and training load. That’s why this tool uses a range + calibration approach, not a single rigid number.

DISCLAIMER:
This calculator provides estimates only and is not medical nutrition therapy. It is not suitable as a standalone tool for people who are pregnant/postpartum/breastfeeding, under 18, or with a history of disordered eating/amenorrhoea; in these cases, aggressive deficits are restricted and professional support is recommended. If you have a medical condition requiring therapeutic nutrition (e.g., kidney disease, type 1 diabetes, complex pregnancy issues), please seek individualised guidance from a qualified health professional before making significant dietary changes.
